Barbara and Jeremy Waltz were having trouble with their French
swinging door since they moved into their newly built, 2004 country
home in rural Central City. When Jeremy's parents built their
new home and installed Andersen sliding glass doors, it was love at
first site for Barb and Jeremy.
"We
had been having troubles for years and the home manufacture wouldn't
do anything about the issues we were having. We just couldn't
decide what to do with that door. But once we saw the Andersen
sliding doors, we knew we had to have them."
In
this project there were a few obstacles to overcome. First,
since the new door was so much larger than the existing, a new
header would have to be installed. Second, the cathedral
ceiling would have to be supported as we installed the new header.
And lastly, they had white carpet in their living room area where
the door was going to be installed. In one day we had the old
door removed, new header installed and the new door in place.
